Enough For All

Mabon, the Wiccan thanksgiving, will soon be upon us. Naturally ones mind would turn to thoughts of abundance and thankfulness. I feel like I use up so much magick on a daily basis for things like protection from falling or shielding against unwanted anger. So when the time comes for a Sabbat I feel spent, but then I recall a quote that I learned at one of our pagan pride days, "as I take abundance, abundance remains." As I began to internalize the message I no longer felt guilty about taking too much from the Goddess.

Like any mother, the Goddess comforts us when we feel anxious, let's us cry when we are sad and she helps us appreciate all of our joys from the simple to the grand. I take great comfort in the thought that the Goddess has been every woman that has ever lived on earth, and that means she has plenty of wisdom to go around.

When kindness is chosen over inaction the Goddesses bounty is replenished. This is what defines the relationship between the Goddess and anyone who commits to living a magickal life. So let's all keep walking with the Goddess.
