Casting on Behalf of Others

When casting on behalf of someone who is not a Wiccan, I always ask the Goddess to send the person energy to achieve their goal whether it be love, healing, a new job or a home etc. in a form that the person would recognize, understand and accept. This is important because, if you send energy out that does not match the faith of the person you’re casting for the energy will come back on you three fold in the form of oppression or some other form of anti-Wiccan prejudice.

Why do it at all? Well, it’s just like when you were little and you folded your hands to ask God to watch over your “Uncle Charlie" while he recovered from back surgery and let him come home soon so you can play baseball together again. The only difference is, witches prey in a circle instead of a church. Then the witch might light a candle or burn some incense on behalf of the subject of the prayer.
