A prayer in the storm

I've always thought of storms as the way the Gods show their power. Even the most staunch non-believer has trouble not accepting the concept of the divine during or after a storm. I've always believed that the Gods and Goddesses show they are physically the closest to us during storms in particular. Living in the Northern United States we don't just get snow in the winter months, we experience high winds as well. The high winds that someone might buy a spooky soundtrack to hear. During the wind storm we encountered Sunday night I asked the Goddess to help me gain mastery over certain aspects of my personality that I don't like. After taking ownership of my dark side it's power over me was lessened and then I found it easier to bring my best qualities forward so that in my day to day existence I can reflect the Goddess.
